Malmesbury Concert (formerly Town) Band has been part of the history in the town for more than 150 years! We do not audition, and are keen to welcome competent woodwind and brass (and occasionally percussion and string bass/bass guitar) players who are confident sight-readers of music interested in playing classical, popular and original repertoire for concert wind band. We are currently particularly looking to recruit Euphonium/Baritone (treble or bass clef readers) - we have a Euphonium available if required - Trumpet/Cornet and Trombone players and, as there may also be opportunities elsewhere in the Band, others should not be deterred from enquiring! We are a friendly and sociable Band which undertakes some six public engagements each year. We rehearse on Friday evenings between 7:15pm-9:15pm.
