Fire crews tackle chimney fire in Malmesbury

TWO fire crews helped extinguish a chimney fire in Malmesbury yesterday evening. 

Firefighters from Chippenham and Royal Wootton Bassett were called to St John's Street at 6.14pm on December 16 where they used a stirrup pump, chimney rods and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

THE fully refurbished Kwik Fit store in Malmesbury had its grand reopening last month, after the company made significant investment to the centre.

A MOTORIST was trapped in their car which was upside down in a ditch after hitting a telegraph pole near Malmesbury on Saturday evening.

CHILDREN have helped to bury a time capsule in Malmesbury to mark the opening of a new retirement development.

Generous shoppers help Malmesbury charities

THE people of Malmesbury and surrounding villages have been generously donating to the Food Bank of Malmesbury.

Shoppers and colleagues at the Co-op have handed over gifts and donations totalling about £660 to local charities.

MALMESBURY High Street was lined with stalls that billowed over into the town hall for its Christmas Late Night Shopping event on Friday.
