IFORD Manor near Bradford on Avon is once again running its popular Bounceback Festival for the second year in succession.

Following on the success of last year’s Bounceback Festival, organiser William Cartwight-Hignett has put together a packed programme for this year’s festival from July 2-5.

Mr Cartwright-Hignett said: “The government's announcement about extending lockdown Stage 3 will have been bitterly disappointing for many musicians, venues and audience members alike.

“But the good news is that our socially-distanced model of picnics is legal under the current rules so we can proceed as planned.

“As last year, the purpose of the series is to provide some actual live work to musicians, and to provide actual live music for people to attend.

“We all desperately need something to look forward to, with all the uncertainty around, so hopefully this will fill the blank until ‘freedom day’ in July."

This year’s line-up features:

Friday, July 2: Academy of Ancient Music, ranking amongst the very top of Britain’s baroque ensembles, audiences will enjoy a joyous programme built around the notion of ‘summer’.

Saturday, July 3: Jazz singer Claire Martin returns to Iford after a number of years with her trio including internationally-renowned local pianist David Newton, to entertain and delight with her glorious vocals.

Sunday, July 4: The King’s Singers, Britain’s foremost acapella group, comes to Iford with their unique blend of old and new works, ending with a set of close harmony classics.

Monday, July 5: Joe Stilgoe Trio is one of the UK’s most entertaining singer-songwriters and returns to Iford by popular demand.
