POLICE were called to Malmesbury High Street today after a van going the wrong way down the road collided with a car.

The crash between an Iveco van driven by a man and a Nissan Qashqai with a woman at the wheel, was at the junction with St Dennis Road just after 8.30 am.

The driver of the cherry picker van is thought to have parked up outside Lloyds Chemist before driving off down the hill.

A Wiltshire Police[2] spokesman said neither of the drivers was injured, but appealed for witnesses to the collision to call 101.
